FRECOR 8, spearheaded by its president, Engr. Juanito E. Jorda, Jr., conferred the Supremo Award to NEA Administrator Edgardo “ERM” Rama Masongsong, who graced the Region 8 NEA-EC Lumens Awards 2018 in Calbayog City as the guest of honor.
The Supremo award was given with great honor and prestige in recognition to Masongsong’s one-of-a-kind leadership, prudence, courage and resolve in the service to the member-consumer-owners (MCOs) and his noble ideals and contributions toward rural electrification.
Further, the award was bestowed for his outstanding achievement by actively working for the interest of the underserved consumers of the society. His expertise in organizing, developing and managing electric cooperatives and strong advocacy on MCO empowerment has redefined how electric cooperatives’ real and inclusive success can be achieved.
Masongsong is the first recipient of the said award conferred by the Federation of Rural Electric Cooperatives in Region 8 (FRECOR 8).
