Aside from the local government units of Naval and Biliran, the DPWH District Office and PENRO-Biliran had also manifested full support in BILECO’s CAPEX project implementation.

This appeared after the successful coordination meeting with the two agencies today, December 8, for the purposes of ironing and satisfying both agencies’ requirements to expedite the project implementation.

PENRO-Biliran reiterated the basic requirements in the cutting of trees affected by the construction of 69-kV line and all other construction projects. A joint inspection by the two parties was also requested to account the total number of affected trees.

The DPWH was also informed that BILECO will erect its poles along the road right-of-way limit which is between 9 to 10 meters from the road center granted by law to utilities.

The municipal planning and development office of both districts also attended exhibiting support to the project.
