The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) holds a two-day capability building training for the Union officers and members of BILECO held last September 18-19, 2017 at Biliran Garden Resort, Naval.

Among the topics discussed were workplace relations and enhancment and labor management council (LMC), CBA negotiation protocols and grievance machinery and voluntary arbitration and the productivity toolbox. On the second day’s session, the speakers discussed basic occupational safety and health and the latest labor laws.

The activity was part of DOLE’s Workers Organization and Development Program (WODP) for private employees and was initiated by BILECO through the request of its union officers.
