As preparation for the upcoming elections, BILECO conducted a final briefing today for its employees who will be deployed in all districts during the election week. TSD Manager Carlitus Casinillo first presented the schedule and assignment of each crew and reminded them to ensure uninterrupted delivery of power throughout the duration of the elections. He also reiterated that all crew must patrol and monitor power situations in their respective areas of responsibility.
GM Gerardo Oledan, likewise, instructed that all communication facilities and equipment to be used during the election week such as handheld radios, mobile phones and vehicles that will serve as backup must be available and in good condition before the election.
Another part of the preparation for the election is the creation of the BILECO Power Task Force in which a 24-hour power situation monitoring will be administered starting from May 5 until May 12, 2022 or until the conclusion of the canvassing of votes and proclamation of winners.
In addition, ISD Manager Allan Joseph Borrinaga reminded everyone that all reports related to power interruptions must be reported by the field personnel to the coop’s command center (COMCEN) which will then be forwarded to the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and will also be posted at BILECO’s official Facebook page.
