The BILECO League of Accredited and Skilled Electricians (BLAZE) and Barangay Power Association (BAPA) attended the Energy Summit 2022 conducted by BILECO held at its main office on October 14 and 21, 2022, respectively.
The gathering was initiated by the coop as part of its IEC on the increasing power rates being experienced by electric cooperatives in Region 8. They particularly discussed the reasons behind the increases which come from high generation costs. The bill components was also explained. The technical department, on the other hand, mentioned future projects in 2023 to address power reliability in the province.
BLAZE is composed of accredited electricians coming from the seven districts under BILECO’s franchise, while BAPA is an allied organization which is the implementing arm of the Meter Reading Billing & Collection Section in selected areas within the coop franchise area.
Both officers of BLAZE and BAPA took their oath during the event.
