NEA Administrator Edgardo R. Masongsong graced the FRECOR 8 annual general assembly and Christmas party last December 12 at Patio Victoria in Tacloban City, serving as its guest of honor and keynote speaker.

The administrator expressed his appreciation of FRECOR 8’s commendable leadership, accomplishments and significant milestones emphasizing particularly the value of unity that its member-coops imbibed which made it surpass all ordeals in the past.

Earlier that day, Masongsong met with the general managers and Board of Directors of eleven electric cooperatives to discuss several issues including the proposed term extension for electric cooperative (EC) directors and the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) bill.

Masongsong also led in the oath-taking of the new set of Director 8 officers, the regional association of EC Board of Directors.

Also present during the occasion were Engr. Artis Nikki Tortola, the Deputy Administrator for Technical Services, Dir. Leila Bonifacio of the Accounts Management and Guarantee Department and Dir. Nollie Alamillo of the Institutional Development Department.

The San Miguel Energy Corporation, GN Power and NGCP also graced the event.
