The House of Representatives passed on 3rd reading House Bill No. 1616 today with 204 affirmative votes, no negative votes and no abstentions.

House Bill No. 1616 seeks to amend the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, as amended by Republic Acts Nos. 9377 and 10378 by exempting the system loss charge component in the electricity bill from the coverage of the value added tax.
