In support to the province’s hosting of the 2017 Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) meet, BILECO had initiated several activities that would contribute to the success of the event.

The Technical Services had undertaken several measures to ensure reliability and quality supply of power throughout the duration of the activity.

BILECO had coordinated with DepEd and the LGU on the necessary preparations related to power. One of its contributions was the installation of lighting facilities in Larrazabal Grandstand, being the main venue, and in Calumpang Elementary School, where some delegates will be housed. Likewise, additional street lights were installed in Poblacion, Almeria. A back-up crew was created for the purposes of power monitoring during peak hours and to ensure immediate response during interruptions and other emergencies.

BILECO had also set up a charging station located at Larrazabal Grandstand for the convenience of the delegates.

EVRAA is one major week-long convergence of the athletes from different primary and secondary schools in Region 8 to compete in various sporting events.
